Great Teacher

I have been an educator for over 18 years. One of the many reasons we have brought all of our children to Ms. Emma is because she does an amazing job identifying what our children needed and customized her lessons accordingly. She has an amazing ability to recognize skills that are missing and redirects her students with great precision. Also, you can tell she has an amazing passion for educating the public on water safety and her passion for this shows through her genuine caring for her students, our children. We are so thankful we found her and she will have forever made a positive impact on our family! THANK YOU MS. EMMA!!!

Ms. Emma is great! Don’t take lessons with anyone else.

I was referred to Ms. Emma from a local moms group. If you live in the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel area sign your children up with Ms. Emma. She’s highly trained and experienced teaching swim. My 15 month old daughter learned to float after just a few lessons. I’ve seen other private swim instructors in the area and none compare to Ms. Emma. She’s treated my daughter like one of her own and most importantly is extremely patient and persistent. She has a great way of working with children teaching them in a way that’s really great to see. Even though, for most parents, including me, was hard to see them cry while learning, I sat back and let Emma do what she needed to do, because swim lessons are necessary! We will be back year after year! I highly recommend Ms Emma-you won’t be disappointed. See you next season, Ms. Emma! – We will miss you until then! Tara&Aria (15 mo)

I am pleasantly surprised at

I am pleasantly surprised at how much my girls have learned in such a short period of time. My 3 year old daughter HATED to get water in her eyes and is a pretty high needs kinda child. Ms Emma worked so well with her, she finished in 5 weeks. She can swim, float and hang onto the wall so well. I feel much more relaxed with my toddlers around the pool now. My littlest (age 2) learned very fast as well. She fell into the pool the other day and I was able to watch her open her eyes and get back to the wall. AMAZING! Making sure these littles stay safe is priceless- Best money spent by far! I am so glad and thankful Ms Emma was recommended to us and I highly recommend her to everyone.

Emma is truly a miracle

Emma is truly a miracle worker! Both of my girls learned swim/survival skills around 4/5 yrs (and more recently stroke lessons with my now 7 year old). I cannot overstate how TERRIFIED they were of swimming/going underwater before Emma…we tried other instructors (highly rated) and none of them were able to help – they only made my girls dread swimming even more. Enter Emma. Within the first 10 minute lesson, they were putting their face under water and raving about how much they love swim lessons. Emma has a wonderful gift of being fantastic with kids while also very knowledgeable about swimming skills. She is flexible and able to read the child and adjust accordingly. We feel very lucky to have found Emma – she is nothing short of amazing!

Simply the best!

Miss Emma is someone we will remember forever. I thought our 3.5 year old who hated getting her face wet would be a challenge. Our daughter was swimming on day 1 and “graduated” in 4 weeks. There were tears along the way (which is normal) but Miss Emma’s calm and direct style eased the nerves. Now our daughter loves the water and I feel better knowing she has the skills necessary to float and swim if she were to ever fall into a pool/lake.

I am not a swim

I am not a swim teacher, I am not advertising anything either, I am simply a grandma of three beautiful kids (6,4 and 17 months) My daughter assigned ALL 3 of them into survival lessons with Ms. Emma at very early age. Our 6 year old swimming since he was 18 months old, our 4 year old started swimming since 8 months old, and our 17 months also already graduated from these survival classes 1 month ago. These are private lessons, and a lot of people are very sure that they don’t need to spend their money on something they might not need. But today, both of our older kids are excellent swimmers right now, and both of them are already in the swim team, which practices 4 times a week. By the way Ms. Emma trained them at later age for all swimming strokes as well! While both of the kids in the pool training, our little one is always little bit loose and very fast. My daughter needs to have 3 pairs of eyes to watch them all. So, one day while kids were practicing in the pool, the little one wondered off to the other side of the pool, and in the split second she was in the water. My daughter took her eyes off of her literally for few seconds and when her eyes went back to her, she saw her floating in the water with face up, just like she was trained!!  All this was happening in less than a minute, and while my daughter was running towards her, staying afloat. After she was taken out of the pool, my daughter got some dirty looks from the other parents that she didn’t watch her kid, but no one really said – what a good job she did. These classes are survival classes, they, they teach them how to turn over and stay afloat. And this how life was saved. I can’t stress enough the importance of this class, no mater where you live, Florida or Canada. There are pools in the summer, there are vacations and then it’s already too late!!

I cannot brag more about Ms. Emma's Swim Academy!! The way she teaches is outstanding! Not only did my girls become instance swimmers, they now have the knowledge of what to do if falling into a pool, even with clothes on. This is not just some “let’s play in the pool kind of class” this is truly swim and survival class. Bring on the Summer! 🙂 Thank you Ms. Emma!!

This is only the second week of lessons for our 18 month old son and we can already see the work paying off! Ms. Emma is so patient and makes not only me as the parent comfortable, but relaxed for my son as well. ISR is a valuable skills for any child to learn. Here's a little note my son "wrote" for her on his second Monday: Ms. Emma, Even though I am crying every time I see you, I know it's good for me to be taking swim lessons. Thank you for teaching me! Mommy thinks it's hard to watch, but is excited about my progress! Love, Steven

Last month my 6 year old daughter accidentally did something unwise and flew into a deep section of a lake. She did not let out a single cry or was nervous in anyway. She popped herself to the surface and swam herself to safety. The lake was extra murky and we would not have been able to locate her if she wasn't able to save herself. Miss Emma is really good at what she does and has taught 2 of my children to swim. You never know what life throws you and in scary situations, it's always best to give your children the ability to save themselves. Lessons with Miss Emma is every penny. Highly recommend to everyone!

I can't say enough good about, Emma. I come from a swimming family so I had pretty high standards for how my 22 month old son, Robbie would be taught. Emma is the perfect combination of firm and nurturing. My son was miserable on his back and I thought he may never buy into the concept of resting on his back. In 5 weeks, Emma had him resting and rolling into his swim. My husband and I are thrilled with the results of Robbie's lessons. We both feel that if the worst hairnet Robbie is now capable of saving himself. We highly recommend Emma!!

So many great things to say about Emma and the program. I could not have had a better experience with our first born learning to swim. Owning a boat and always around grandmas pool we felt learning to swim was a must. I was a little nervous but as soon as I saw the experience Emma had I instantly felt at ease. I would suggest everyone living in Florida with children visit Emma!

Mrs. Emma is amazing! What a blessing she is to her Tampa Swim Babies. She is very encouraging and always reassuring. My children started at ages 6, 4, and 2 years old last summer and I was amazed at the skills they learned for each of their ages. This was their first experience with swim training. They all learned great survival techniques and even went on to learn strokes. Each swim day my daughters really looked forward to swimming with her! My now 5 and 3 year old children recently completed refreshers and are now ready for a great, safe swim season. I would recommend and Emma over and over. I am so thankful to have been introduced to the program and am now a proud advocate for its obvious benefit! Thank you, Emma!

I am so glad that Emma was recommended to me!! My 4 year old loves the water but couldn't swim without a life jacket. She is now swimming and knows how to roll to her back and float when she gets tired or needs a break. Its amazing the things Emma was able to teach her in such a short amount of time. I love that she gives praise and explains things in a way that a child can relate to and understand. I highly recommend using her if you are looking for someone who will make sure your child knows how to save themselves from drowning. I don't have to worry about my daughter falling into a pool and not being able to swim thanks to Emma!

Miss Emma is absolutely amazing! This was our 2 year old's second year with Miss Emma and he is quite the little fish now. The method and intricacies of the program are very obviously perfected to provide the best and quickest results. Last year, the very first thing she did was put our son in the water to see how he reacted. When he bobbed up and down face down, I knew that these lessons were going to be worth every penny and tear. He learned to roll and float on his back in just a few short weeks and it was incredible to see how such a little baby could save his own life. This year, Miss Emma taught him how to swim-float-swim. The first few weeks, he screamed every lesson, but then one day he just completely stopped the crying and whining! Our formerly screaming child was suddenly yelling "Ready, steady GO!" every single time Miss Emma pointed him to the wall. It was clear he had developed confidence in his ability to swim, float, and save his own life and we are very proud parents! We never thought we would see the day, but he LOVES the water now. He jumps in from the side and swims to us, swim-float-swims across the entire pool, and begs us to take him swimming. Not only is he safe and having fun, but it is so nice as a parent to have confidence in your baby's swimming ability. We can sit at the side of the pool while he is playing and if he falls in reaching for a toy or slips off the steps, we can proudly watch him work it out on his own instead of 5 different adults jumping in after him in a panic. It breaks my heart when I see the tragic news stories about babies and toddlers drowning. is something that I wish could be taught to every single baby in Florida to avoid these tragedies because it is truly a valuable and necessary skill. Thank you Miss Emma for giving our family this amazing life-saving gift, and for providing our son with such a positive learning experience that has instilled a great confidence and has shown him at such a young age that he can persevere and succeed at challenges. We can't wait to bring our second baby along with his big brother for his own lessons when he is 6 months old next spring!

I can't say enough great things about Emma. The biggest thing I hear when talking about lessons is about the cost and the stress of the lessons on the child and parents. Ultimately the lessons are no more expensive than anywhere else when you consider how quickly you're done. I was anxious for the first lesson for my 12 month old and myself, but after just one lesson with Emma I knew we'd made the right choice. Emma is so in tune with each student. She knew when to make my little one work harder vs. when to say ok we're done for the day. In just a few lessons my 12 month old was floating as if she'd been doing it since the day she was born. It's evident how much Emma cares about each and every child and ensuring they know how to save their own life. It's a skill you hope your child never has to use, but I'm confident if my 12 month old fell in our pool she'd be able to save her own life and that's priceless! We'll be going back to Emma to continue to grow her skills.

Emma is a wonderful teacher. I was amazed at how much my 15 month old accomplished. A big worry for me was the beach but after G completely finished the course we took her one weekend. While I was in the water with her, G knew exactly what to do, she was able to float on her back no problem thru the waves. G is surrounded by water at the house , on vacation, at her grandparents' house. It helps ease my worry knowing that we have provided G the knowledge of what to do if ever caught in a situation dealing with any body of water. Thank you so much for that.

Miss Emma is amazing! I enrolled my 10 month old son for lessons after hearing about the program from a couple of friends. I was quite nervous leading up to the first lesson, but immediately upon meeting Miss Emma and observing her interactions with my son, I was put at complete ease. She was wonderful with him. Miss Emma teaches with a true conviction and compassion, truly loves what she is doing. I think she got just as excited as I did when my son started rolling over on his own! We cannot thank Miss Emma enough for what she has taught my son. We will definitely be back next year.

Ms. Emma is the absolute best! I learned about through a friend and immediately enrolled my 2.5 year old daughter. I felt it was important for her to learn to save her life and have a respect for the water, particularly living in Florida. My daughter never had any previous experience with swim lessons. I was amazed at how much she learned in the 4.5 weeks she participated in . Ms. Emma was very good about individualized attention with my daughter and helped her build the strength and confidence with each session. By the last lesson, I felt like I had a completely different child. She was confident and smiling in the water and having fun. As a parent, I feel like I have a huge piece of mind that my daughter has the ability to save her own life. This is the greatest gift we could ever receive and we have Ms. Emma to thank for it. We will definitely we returning to see Ms. Emma again. Thank you Emma for your patience, love and time devoted to teaching children to save their lives. You are an amazing teacher!!!

Phenomenal-After many years of swim lessons with different teachers, at different schools my ten year old son still didn't have the confidence to strengthen his swimming skills. He had some of the more basic survival skills but lacked the tools to truly be a strong swimmer. After two weeks with Ms. Emma he began to look like a swimmer. He learned to breath properly and gained back so much confidence he had lost throughout the years. A few weeks into the school year he had swimming class this year and came home happily saying that he went from one of the weakest swimmers in the class last year to one of the strongest. He was even used as an example to demonstrate proper form to the other students. I can not thank Ms. Emma enough.

This year is our 4th year with Emma. We have three daughters- 4, 3, and 22 months. All three have had lessons with Emma and our two oldest daughters are now amazing swimmers. We started lessons when our daughters were less than a year old and by the time they were 2 both of our older daughters were jumping from the edge of the pool and swimming to the side without assistance. Our 4 year old can dive to the bottom of the pool and swim the entire length. Both girls now know how to do proper strokes and can breathe to the side. Our littlest one is now working on her swim, float, swim. Without any hesitation I would say that Emma has given our daughters the tools needed to save their own lives should they ever fall into water. This is an amazing program, Emma is an amazing teacher, and is essential to anyone who has small children- it literally can make the difference between life and death.

Miss Emma is amazing! She is clearly invested in the progress of the children and it shows in how she works with them as well as the results of her lessons. She has been able to get so much progress out of our children in such a short amount of time my wife and I have been astonished. We were able to get 9 lessons with Emma prior to going on vacation to the beach, for which prior both children (our son is 2 and daughter is 5) had very limited experience in the water. Once we were on vacation I was simply amazed at their comfort in the water and ability to swim independently, and most importantly how much safer they were in case of an unforseen fall in the water. I highly recommend Emma's lessons and my wife and I are both so glad that we found her. I wanted the responsibility to teach my 5 year old how to swim but I am so glad that I agreed with my wife to pursue the lessons. I could have never taught them as quickly and soundly as Emma did with our children. Thank you Emma!

Initially, I was hesitant because these lessons were more expensive and more intense than some other swimming lesson techniques. However, in the end, these lessons have been worth every penny. I am not a swimmer, and did not want my children to be afraid of the water too. Therefore, it was important for me that they developed the skills necessary to not only be a strong swimmer, but know how to survive in the water. My daughter Jurnee started with Emma when she was about 27 months, and continued the next year at age 3. It was amazing to see the growth and transformation in her ability to swim, and how much her confidence grew. Now she swims like a fish 🙂 Because she had been so successful with Emma, her 8 year old brother insisted that he learn strokes this year. Being an African American family, culturally, we don't think of swimming as a top priority. However, it was not only the best investment in my children's life, but a blessing because they have inspired me to learn to swim as well. Emma has a special place in our heart and we appreciate her commitment to helping save lives.

I couln't be happier with my decision to put my 9 month old in the program. I was very skeptical about it at first, as I did not think I could watch my daughter being dunked against her will, but it wasn't like that at all. Emma was amazing and very patient. When my daughter first started she would grab either her feet or hands, causing her to sink. After just a week with Emma, my daughter kicked both habits and within 4 weeks had mastered rolling over onto her back and floating. It is a truly amazing survival class and would recommend it to anyone with small children:-)

We are so grateful to have been referred to through a friend. We have two children, ages 4 and 9 months, who were apprehensive about water. Emma is amazing! She is comforting, encouraging and motivating. She is persistent and firm with the girls when she needs to be and always knows their limits. I credit her skills, knowledge and personality for getting my daughters to their full potential in the water. My eldest went from clinging to her and crying about being in the water on her first lesson, to being excited about lessons, swimming with a good stroke, turning to a perfect float on command, and giving hugs to Ms. Emma. My youngest went from floating with both hands and arms in the air to turning over to a great float! We can't thank her enough for the crucial skills she has taught both of our children, we are confident they could handle any situation around water they find themselves in. We can't wait for next season when we will be back to learn strokes (for my eldest) and do a swim-float-swim with my youngest. Thank you Emma, you are AMAZING!!!

I was blown away with the swim lessons. My son at 3 1/2 yrs old, was afraid of the water and could play in the pool all day with his puddle jumper floatie and never get his hair wet. He refused to put his head in the water. Ms. Emma had him swimming face down the very first day! She new just when and how much to push and when to be gentle. Caiden learned to swim-float-swim in just three weeks. My heart is so happy when I now see him playing and swimming with such confidence, yet he still has a great respect for the water. My 19 month old daughter also received lessons from Ms. Emma. She was an "awesome" (as ms.emma says) teacher with my daughter as well. Loving, yet clear in what she expected. Our friends and family were blown away as they watched the videos of our baby swimming and floating in full winter clothes!! It is easy to see that Ms. Emma is passionate about saving the lives of children. She truely cares for each child and believes in watch she is doing. Thank you Ms. Emma!!!

Thank you, Coach Emma for teaching my 5 year-old how to swim, yes, but more importantly to survive. He had some pretty lame swimming lessons when he was three, which were all wrong. Since then he never wanted to get his face wet and only wanted to get in the water with his floatie. Now he's confident, yet, still respects the water and knows his limits. And he loves to practive his "swim-float-swim." Again---thank you!

Sofia was 2 1/2 years old when she nearly drowned. My husband performed CPR as I stood there in shock asking myself how I could let this happen. After the longest night of our life in the hospital, she was released the next day perfectly healthy. Sofia's angel was looking over her that day and we were blessed with a second chance. Because of a false sense of security our worst nightmare almost became a reality. She never ventured near our pool and never wanted to get in. We tried swim lessons (not ) when she was 18months old, which obviously proved unsuccessful. After her near drowning, she was even more fearful of the water and so were we. We were terrifed of how Sofia would react to swim lessons but knew we had to do something to protect her. After our first lesson, all of our anxiety and fears were diminished. Sofia was certainly apprehensive but Emma's approach and experience was exactly what she needed. After 2 lessons, Sofia was floating and putting her face in the water! We are now on lesson 12 and she is swimming like a fish and loves the water! We are amazed, grateful and indebted to Emma and the curriculum. I wish we would have done from day one. It will always be a huge regret but I learned a valuable lesson and therefore, enrolled our son at 8 months old. He was floating on his back unassisted after 2 lessons! We wouldn't have believed it, if we didn't experience it for ourselves. Emma especially has been the biggest blessing and has given our daughter the tools to be able to survive if she ever encounters another life or death situation as she did when she was younger. We are forever in her debt and would recommend her to everyone.

If anyone reading this has doubts about whether to do this...I URGE you to do so! I wish that EVERY parent would obtain training for EVERY infant. Too many Florida children drown. Our daughter started lessons with Emma when she was about 18 months old. She quickly learned how to float on the surface and cry for help. A few lessons later and she was performing the swim-float-swim technique with relative ease. Nothing can ever replace adult supervision but it feels so good to know that if our little girl does fall into a pool or other body of water, she has more than a fighting chance now. At age 4, she's learning proper stroke techniques and her swimming future appears bright. US Womens' Olympic Gold perhaps 🙂 EMMA: THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO! One of Emma Grynbal's best traits is her passion for . She's a fantastic instructor with an ability to really connect with young children. I am a truly amazed and very grateful father. Thanks Emma!

The only problem I have now is that I can't get her out of the water! I wish we had used you for our older daughters lessons too... That would have saved us a lot of money and headache! Emma, you're a "Diamond in the Rough"!! Truly...I'm so grateful to the "forward" we got years ago, about and you! As a mother whose review I just read, at the time we started, Samantha, 4 1/2 (who'd been in the water from the age of 5 months), was grabbing onto me and terrified of drowning, while her 2 1/2 yr old sister, Ciara, was trying to dive off the water's edge (and did not have the slightest idea what she'd do after that)! It was a nerve-wrecking experience for me to go with them to the pool at that time! And what frustrated me the most about that, is that they'd both had swim lessons by the time they were both 6 months old. However, they hadn't learned survival skills and I certainly wasn't confident that they'd survive in the water 30 seconds in the event of a mishap at a friend's pool or nearby lake, etc...And then we found you!! Well as you know, the girls, 7 1/2 and 5 ½ now, are little “fish”! Both swim team material (wish we could have gotten into the New Tampa Swim team you recommended this summer, but they were full)! They both love getting your refresher lessons and especially loved their stroke lessons this past summer! Wish we could have kept coming, but you know how it is (thanks for being so good to us)! Well then, as if you hadn't already proved your weight in gold to took my non-swimmer nephew, Nathaniel (6 1/2) this summer and turned him into a swim-survival-jellyfish in less than 2 weeks!!! That kid was trembling whenever we asked him to come to the pool, cried if we went to the edge of the shore at the beach and grabbed onto anything he could when we took him in with us! Now, he cries when we tell him it's time to go!! Since I'm often with all 3 of them, it feels good to be able to take them all to the pool and know that they have what it takes to be confident swimmers!! Since 2008, I've told all my friends (and even strangers) about the and our experiences with you and will continue to spread the word! You’ve got 3 fans for life (and their believing and grateful parents, of course)!!

...and may I add that Miss Emma really "reads" your child and puts effort into working with their specific personality. I'm sure there are many challenges to her because of the young ages but it is a wonderful thing to watch! Thank you again Miss Emma, you have two lives safer because of a skill learned!

What a wonderful program and great teacher!! I was hesitant to do this program for several reasons, but am pleased to tell you it is worth it and a great idea! My two daughters 4 & 2 approached the water very differently. The oldest wanted no water in her face and was timid with trying anything out of her comfort zone + water wings. The 2 yr old was a go getter and wanted to dive in and play, but had no safety or swimming ability! They both took lessons from Miss Emma finishing last month and WOW! The week after lessons we went to the beach and they were happy, waves and all, floating, playing, swimming!!! My 4yr old proudly declares herself a "fish" and wants to swim everyday! She tries new things all the time including going down a small slide at the Grandparent's pool and diving! Our 2 yr old is now rightfully confident in the water swimming well and happily! THANK YOU SO MUCH MISS EMMA! You have given me not only peace-of-mind but the ability to enjoy my family this summer!! : )

Emma has been a wonderful teacher to both of my sons. Andrew (5 years old) came in with a total fear of water and as a complete non swimmer. In 3 weeks, Emma had Andrew swimming, floating and perfecting his strokes. He loves the water now and tells me everyday how excited he is to go to the pool and swim. Daniel (3 years old) also came in as non swimmer. After the 3 weeks he is swimming, floating and jumping into the water without any fear. As a mom I love the fact that my children are so much more comfortable in water and know the skills to survive if they ever fall into the pool. I am extremely impressed with all of the skills the boys have learned and I will recommend Ms. Emma to all of my family and friends.

We invested in our children this summer by enrolling them in classes with Mrs. Emma. I was in awe of her flexibilty in working with the different personalities of each child and tayloring the lessons to their specific needs. My 3 year old and 22 month old are now confident in the water and my mind is at ease. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Mrs. Emma and to anyone with small children. Thanks so much Mrs. Emma!

Emma is God sent. My daughter Cassie, who is now 10 and my son Dominic who is 3, both learned how to swim with Emma. Emma makes swimming fun at the same time takes it very seriously. After spending a few months with Emma and with the help of Emma, Cassie joined the TBAY Tampa Palms Team. She has been on the team for a year now and could possibly go to Junior Olympics come summer of next year. The skills she learned from Emma allowed her to swim competively right away with kids who have been on the team for a year or two and coming very close to their times. My son started swimming with Emma at 22 months, still enjoys swimming and I am not at all worried about him drowning because he was taught well. I am grateful to have met her and would highly recommend her to all mothers. She works with all sorts of infants, toddlers and adolescents regardless of their character and personality, she is capable of bringing out the best in them and build their self-confidence.

We have a pool at home with no fence and I was so scared my son would fall in, I decided to have him learn to swim with Emma. It was the best thing I have done for him, not only can he now swim, but he can float. I am so much more relaxed around the pool with him now and we can enjoy the water together, instead of me being totally paranoid and not allowing him around the pool or worse, following him around the pool. Emma is a great teacher and is very thorough, I totally trust her opinion and I know she will get the job done. I am so happy we did this, it is the best gift anyone can give a child. I highly recommend her.

My 6 year old was a total non-swimmer and refused to go in the water without a float and going under was out of the question. By his second lesson with Emma he was willingly putting his face in the water and by the end of his second week was jumping into the pool and swimming on his own! I was so nervous to start these lessons with him because he was so reluctant to do anything in the water, but now he is excited to go, and LOVES swimming. Emma is an amazing instructor, and my husband and I are so thankful we found her, because we not only know our son will be safe around water, but because of her instruction he has found something he loves doing.

+ Miss Emma = Amazing! I have had two children complete three seasons of and I can tell you it has made a huge difference in our lives! My husband and I saw the milestones our children made at each season and continue to recommend it to all our friends. Dont be fooled - swim lessons are dandy but they are nothing compared to SURVIVAL lessons. Miss Emma has the right mix of care and persistence with the children.

My son started lessons with Ms. Emma when he was 8 months old - she was able to teach him to float before he was able to walk. This summer, when he was 21 months, he returned to learn the swim-float-swim sequence. I take him to our community pool daily and everyone is always amazed to see the baby swim. He has a love of the water that is possible because he has the skills and knowledge that were provided during lessons.

Swim Lessons have made a huge impact in our lives. My 2 year-old son was a non-swimmer when we started lessons and in five weeks, he was confident and comfortable in the pool. He now swims and loves the water. I would recommend these lessons to anyone who has a young child. Ms. Emma has provided us with such a gift. She is making a huge difference with young children in the Tampa area. I am so glad thankful that we chose and Ms. Emma!

Living in Florida and not knowing how to swim is not an option. We moved to Tampa 1 year ago and it was few weeks when I finally contacted Emma for swim lessons and boy was I glad. After her 10th lesson my daughter was in the pool with her friends trying to show off her skill, and while trying to get out of the pool she stumbled and fell in the shallow. For a second my instinct was to run and help her, but before I could do or say anything I saw her floating on her back and then flip back to swim to the edge. Few minutes later she was getting her toys when she fell in the deep end, now I was really scared but she, very confidently, swam to the edge and was very happy. I know I was right there to help but there are some unfortunate times when we are not looking for a second and that is enough to cause a mishap. I am glad we took classes with Emma, she is an excellent and extraordinary instructor. My daughter is now swimming like a pro and knows she has to do her swim-float-swim, no matter what. Thanks Emma, Thanks .

Ms.Emma has thought both my girls. My oldest who is 6 yrs now started with Emma at 22 months, she was swimming before she was 2yrs old, she has never needed a refresher lesson. My youngest who is now 3 1/2 yrs was also tought by Emma when she was 2 years old, she has not had a refesher lesson. This summer I signed both girls for stroke lesson with Emma, and have just been amazed by how well they did. Emma is a great teacher, and I am always raving about her to other friends who are looking to sign their children for life saving lesson..

I started my son in lessons with Miss Emma when he was 9 months old. I second guessed my decision with every lesson as he did not seem to enjoy the lessons and cried at each lesson. However, now, at 18 months old, I can't keep him out of the pool. All the things he "hated" during lessons, he is not only great at, but enjoys it! At a recent party he was doing the swim/float/swim sequence just to show off. Best of all, I know have peace of mind knowing he knows how to handle himself in the water - between holding his breath the minute his head goes under, floating and swimming to the wall of the pool. Thanks Miss Emma! I highly recommend this program to anyone with infants and toddlers.

I LOVE & MISS EMMA!! My oldest son, Luke, had a near drowning experience when he was 3 1/2. We were swimming at my friends' neighborhood pool when it happened. He had been wearing floaties, and had taken them off when he got out of the pool to eat lunch. His little friend threw one of his floaties over the fence. I told Luke not to get back into the pool until I got it. I turned my back to Luke to answer my friend's question. When I turned back around he was completely submerged in the water. He had walked down the stairs of the pool not realizing that the water would go over his head without floaties on. I jumped into the pool, and rescued him. Luckily, he was OK physically, but emotionally he was traumatized & so was I. It happened so quickly, and I was right there. We moved to FL a couple of months later, and after getting settled, I enrolled him at a swim school that I had heard good things about. I told them about his near drowning experience, and that he was terrified of the water. The first lesson consisted of the teacher having Luke go under the water over and over. When she brought him to me, he was hysterically crying saying that he NEVER wanted to go swimming again. She said, "He did so much better this lesson". I looked right at her, and said, "This was his first lesson". You should have seen the look on her face. I called the school to tell them what happened, and they apologized profusely. They put him with a different instructor for the remainder of the course, and she was nice, but Luke pretty much just learned to blow bubbles in the water - a total waste of my time and money. Then a friend of mine told me about . I signed Luke & my daughter Ava(2 years old) up with Miss Emma, and in 3 days Luke was swimming to the wall by himself with confidence. My husband and I couldn't believe our eyes. Luke, now 6 years old, just finished taking stroke lessons with Miss Emma, and she said that he has a natural talent for swimming. I honestly can't believe that two years ago he was terrified of swimming, and now he loves it. My son, Zachary, will be finishing his lessons tomorrow. He is 2 years old. I am so thankful for the program, and for Miss Emma. It has been such a blessing to my family. Melissa Bailey

Miss Emma has been teaching my daughter Grace to survive in water ever since she was 11 months old. In 4 weeks of Miss Emma's training, Grace knew how to save her self in water. It was amazing to watch how quickly Miss Emma transformed her behaviour from fear of water to comfort in water. Miss Emma works with her student children very calmly and lovingly. I completely trust her and Grace's survival skills and love for water is result of Miss Emma's teaching. I can't say enough thanks to Miss Emma for what she has given to my daughter.

I am back doing lessons with Emma again...again I recommend this to all! My daughter is now almost 3 (this is her 3rd summer working with Emma) and swims like a fish! I have a son (new student) who is 9 mo. old....he began with Emma when 8 mo. old and he is floating beautifully! is amazing...the peace of mind....PLEASE if you are considering swim lessons for your child, 6 mo. or older, pls consider ! It is the best, in my opinion. We are done with lessons, for now, and I know that my kids can save themselves if they fall in can have that same peace!!

Emma is amazing with my daughter, and my son, I trust her completely and am grateful my son and daughter are learning skills to save her own life in the water. Choosing these lessons has been the best decision I have made for my kids. They both love the water and my girl swims!! my son floats and he is 9 mo. old, it is amazing! Emma's methods and her way with the kids makes all the difference....Thank you again Emma!!

Emma did a fantastic job teaching my 22 month old daughter to float! Like all mothers, the thought of my child falling into water terrified me. Now, I am still just as diligent in my supervision, but I have a reassuring confidence that if she fell in water, she could float until I could retrieve her. It only takes a minute for a child to drown. The technique buys you that time to get to your child.

I would recommend this program to all mothers that have young children. This is a life saver. Ms Emma was my son's instructor and he was terrified at the beginning of the class but with much patients and understanding by Ms Emma, my son can now Float Swim Float which is critical in a life treatening situation. He is more confident with his swimming. I fully recommend this course with this instructor to all parents. Don't wait until it's to late, Thinking that drowning only happens to other children. I personally have friend's that thought that also. Their child drowned because they kept putting it off. Please get your children into these classes.

We love and Emma! A friend of mine signed her daughter up for lessons with Emma and I decided to wait. My 2 year old wasnt interested in swimming so I thought, "Why should I give him lessons if he's not interested" A month later he fell into our pool! He was trying to fill up a water toy, like his big brothers. I was right there and immediatley jumped in but it was a horrible experience, just to see his little face desperately looking up at me! The next day I called Emma! It is amazing to see your little one swim! Emma is so patient and understands my child. My husband was able to witness a lesson and he was amazed. I looked back at him and he had tears in his eyes. There is something about watching a child so young, learn to save himself and at the same time be so proud! We are not finished with Emma but I already know my results will be positive.

My three-year-old daughter became a proficient swimmer in just three weeks this summer, thanks to Emma. She built great rapport with my daughter and helped her quickly feel comfortable with her own abilities to save herself in the water (by the end of the second lesson she was excited to swim). It was remarkable to watch her and many other younger children transform in the water from insecure, flailing, frightened children to confident, comfortable swimmers.

A great swim instructor. I would highly recommend for any young child learning about water safety. This is a great way to start swim lessons with a young toddler. My son started last summer (2 1/2 years old) with Emma and quickly learned to survive in the water and gain confidence to swim with his head under water to the wall. This summer we took refresher lessons at the beginning of the summer (3 1/2 years old) and is swimming all over the pool like a fish! I strongly recommed Emma for her patience and ability to teach young children the fundamentals of water safety.

I enrolled two of my dtrs in Emma's swim lessons this summer. The first is 3 yrs old and needed a refresher class since she had not swam since last summer and was no longer wanting to put her head under water. After two short weeks, not only was she swimming perfectly above and under the water but she had the survival float down pat dressed in full winter clothing and shoes! I have also received many comments from friends viewing her stating she is a FISH.

With the alarming drowing statistics in Florida, I could not wait any longer to find a survival class for my child. Emma Grynbal is an incredible teacher. I could not believe my eyes when my strong willed 3 year old child was swimming within seconds of her first class. Before this class she would only stand on the steps of a pool and would refuse to go under water. Now my daughter is almost finished with her class after three and a half weeks. Emma taught her the swim float swim technique. When you watch this technique it makes so much since. I feel so relieved that my daughter might have a chance if she falls in the water. My daughter has fallen in the water and it is so scarey because no one can hear your child when they are struggling under water.
