Bravo 👏
I don’t know her…..but I’m a Swim Instructor in Southeast Alabama..
The Puddle Jumper issue is a serious problem as a teacher, I’m left to Correct the horrible habits thar your child learns from wearing them. ITS Very difficult for the child to overcome and and heart breaking for me to see them thru it…I want to start a non profit and help the community and I’m reaching out for advice and how to get started!
I’m primarily a Private Swim Coach..6 months and up. I’ve been teaching for decades and I hace great results….I want to give back now that I’m older..will turn 60 in Oct and its on the ole bucket list. It’s desperately needed in our area ….
The people in your area are extremely fortunate to have you through generations…its an awesome gift !!!
Keep up the great work!!!

A necessity!
Living in Florida, I had to make sure my son had the skill to survive in a pool. I enrolled him when he was 2 and again for a refresher course after the winter. He now has the confidence to enjoy the water safely. I have the piece of mind that he knows what to do if he’s end up in a situation where an adult can’t get to him in time. Had a great experience with Ms. Emma. I loved the 1 on 1, 10 minute session that is offered by Ms. Emma, vs. a group swimming class. We continue to practice what we learned in the class.
Most important skill you can give your child
Both my daughters have been through two seasons of lessons with Ms Emma and we will be going back! My older daughter nearly drowned at a (non survival) group swim lesson. It was a huge wake up call that that could occur AT A SWIM LESSON. We went to Ms. Emma from there and never looked back. My oldest could swim, float, then swim in a sequence at a little over 2 yrs old, and my youngest could float on her back at 9 months, and now at two can swim to a float. Outside of lessons they’ve both been able to showcase those skills with me on various occasions. I am very vigilant by the water but the peace of mind that my children can save themselves in a potential life threatening accident is priceless. Ms. Emma is super skilled, direct, and knows how to help each individual child. Both my children needed different approaches as they have very different temperaments. I highly recommend her and her program!
My 3-year-old autistic son can swim with the tide now!
Ms. Emma’s Swim School is above and beyond a typical swim class. With persistent patience, Miss. Alexis and Ms. Emma taught my son how to float, how to breathe when in the water, and how to swim to the nearest wall. My son was not easy to teach. In addition to being autistic and non-verbal, he’s a large child who thrashed in protest when he was in the pool. But they did it! After taking Ms. Emma’s intense 10-minute classes for several weeks, we went to a beach in Puerto Rico when visiting family, and he walked fearlessly into the water, floating and even swimming with the current. His grandparents were amazed! I’m still amazed. He’s not only confident in the water, but he knows how to breathe when water gets in his mouth; he knows how to survive now. I’ll always be grateful to Ms. Emma and Miss. Alexis for this.
The only thing that worked!
My 8 yo daughter had tried everything – parents teaching her how to swim, YMCA and Swim Seal. She made very minimal progress and actually regressed and cried every car trip to lessons. I am so thankful to Miss Emma and Miss Alexis. They provided exactly what my daughter needed – individual attention, patience but perseverance. I even noticed at one point I could see my daughter starting to fall back in her old insecurities. I pointed this out to Miss Emma and Miss Alexis. They both worked with her at that point to boost her confidence. She graduated swim float swim within 5 weeks. She is so confident and proud now. She finally found the right teachers. I wish I did this sooner. I can’t thank them enough.
